When is the best time for a tour?

Every tour is magical, however, the forest is most beautiful in the rain and early mornings or late afternoons. Tours times vary depending on the time of year. See the Canopy Tour timings and availability via our Book Now page.

I have done ziplines before - why zipline here?

Canopy Tours is the only place in the world where you can soar high above untouched ancient New Zealand forest, feed wild native New Zealand birds by hand and become part of an amazing conservation story. Our guiding team are highly experienced and all born and breed kiwis! Still not convinced, check out TripAdvisor and see what our customers say about Rotorua Canopy Tours - click here

Are there any weight or height restrictions?

We have a maximum weight limit of 120kg. There is a minimum age of six years old for the Original Canopy Tour, and 10 years old for the Ultimate Canopy Tour. There is no upper age limit - so far our oldest customer was 93! Children (15 years and under) must be accompanied by a responsible adult (16 years or over).
